This white paper reviews 2013 calendar year sales. Since the clubs end their fiscal years at different times, using calendar year sales data provides a timely comparison. The information is compiled using the sales reports released by the clubs each month and quarter as well as sales estimates for Cost-U-Less, Samís international locations and BJís (since it became a private company in September, 2011). The sales figures represent merchandise sales and do not include membership revenue.
